Youth Leadership Advisory Team Privacy Policy

At YLAT, our goal is to provide the highest level of privacy and safety for youth while still allowing them to communicate freely. We will never give your email address to anyone (no advertisers, third parties, nobody!), and you always have the option of either not providing an email address, or making your email address invisible to others.

What information do we collect?

In the YLAT message board, we collect a username of your choice and your email address. The email address is only used if you forget your password. You have the option to make your email address invisible to other users, so that they cannot contact you through email.

Optional information on the message board includes: your real name, your location, your username on instant messengers such as AOL Instant Messenger, ICQ, or Yahoo! Instant Messenger. If you do not want other people to contact you using those methods, please do not provide your instant messenger usernames.

Youth:

If you are under 13, please follow these rules:

DO NOT provide your real name, or information about where you live, anywhere on this website (OR on the Internet!).

DO NOT provide your real name or information about where you live to ANYONE through the chat or through the message board.

If anyone uses the chat or message board to harass you or make you feel uncomfortable, please immediately report them. If you are using YLAT Chat, report them to an operator (they have a red spider next to their name). If you are using the YLAT Message Board, report them to anyone who has Moderator or Administrator rank.

Parents/Guardians:

We assume that your childen have gotten your consent before they submit any information about themselves on the message board or chat. If at any time you would like information about your child removed from our databases, or if you have any concerns about the safety of your children, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Stay safe!

Sincerely,

The Youth Leadership Advisory Team

Welcome!
